You can enhance your Challenges by adding tracker-based activities. Trackers allow participants to log their behavior or progress, and when added to a Challenge, they can help drive engagement through measurable goals.
When you're in the Challenge editor, you can see the tracker listing on the left menu:
When setting up a Challenge, you can use two types of trackers
- Use an existing tracker already enabled for your portal
- Create a new tracker specifically for use within the Challenge
Once you choose a portal tracker to add or add a new tracker by creating it exclusively for this Challenge, it can be used as an activity in phases. Each time you use a tracker in a phase, it must be configured with rules that determine when the tracking activity is considered complete.
Four Types of Tracker Completion Rules
- Days: Completion is achieved when a participant has logged at least one tracker entry on a specified number of total days during the phase. This means that a requirement of 3 will register as "activity completed" when the member uses the tracker on 3 different days of the phase.
- Streak: Completion is based on logging a tracker entry for a specified number of consecutive days. This means that a requirement of 3 will register as "activity completed" when the member uses the tracker on 3 back-to-back days of the phase.
- Threshold: Completion occurs when the total cumulative value of tracker entries meets or exceeds a set threshold over the entire phase. This means that an activity minutes tracker set to 100 will register as complete when the user enters various minute totals that equal 100 or more during the phase.
- Threshold Streak: Completion is achieved when the participant meets a daily threshold for a specified number of consecutive days. This means that an activity minutes tracker set to 3 minimum entries with a threshold of 30 requires the participant to fill in the activity tracker with at least 30 minutes of activity for 3 consecutive days.
