This article explains what each of the system trackers are and how you can edit their individual visibility status and use in a portal.
There are trackers that already exist in Avidon: we call these system trackers. System trackers can be enabled or disabled at the portal level; enabled trackers can then be accessed by portal members and used as components in flows and challenges.

Managing System Trackers
To view trackers and their current status within a portal, go to the Settings section of the admin, select the Portal Management module, and choose the portal.
Select "Trackers" from the left-side menu:
Here you see the list of system trackers. You can enable or disable individual trackers—and you can edit their visibility settings—from the main table by clicking on the actions column for the row of any tracker:
Editing Visibility Settings
Once you click "Edit" from the actions menu, you'll enter the visibility settings page. Here you have three options:
- This is the main setting: If the tracker is enabled, it is set for use in the portal. This means it can be used in flows, challenges, and you can set visibility in the following two options.
- When this option is enabled, admins and coaches can monitor tracker entries from members in the admin website.
- When this option is enabled, members can use the tracker from their member dashboard.
System Trackers
NOTE: The Avidon platform stores all applicable health tracking data using metric units by default, while allowing members to choose whether to view their data in metric or imperial units. For example, members may enter weight in pounds or kilograms and track activity in minutes, but all values are stored in a consistent metric format behind the scenes.
For API integration and backend processing, all tracker values are stored in metric units. Time-based trackers, such as the Activity tracker, accept user input in minutes but are recorded in seconds via the API. Therefore, the minimum valid value is 60 seconds (1 minute).
Listed below are all system trackers with a description and the minimum/maximum entry ranges. Note that select, applicable trackers allow decimals in their entries.
A1C Tracker
A1C is a measurement of average blood sugar readings over the previous two to three months and it gives a general view of how diabetes management has been in that time span. This tracker is most applicable to participants who want to keep an eye on their levels in an effort to prevent diabetes or reverse prediabetes. This tracker allows decimals.
Min/Max Range: 2 - 30
Activity Tracker
Users can record the amount of minutes they've exercised.
Min/Max Range: 1 - 360
Blood Glucose Tracker
Users record their blood glucose levels (mmol/L) and when they were taken as it relates to the closest meal time.
Reports show users a history of blood glucose readings in the selected time range and can be filtered related to meals, times of day, and snacking habits. This tracker can help to raise mindfulness and awareness which can reinforce the healthy lifestyle habits that system courses focus on. This tracker allows decimals.
Min/Max Range: 2.8 - 16.7
Blood Pressure Tracker
Users can record their blood pressure (systolic/diastolic) and view their reports based on times of day the readings were taken. The tracker can help users establish patterns in higher and lower readings, particularly as they relate to specific times of day. Reports can be filtered by:
- First rise
- Morning
- Afternoon
- Evening
- Before exercise
- After exercise
Min/Max Range:
- Systolic—50-250
- Diastolic—40-220
Body Fat Tracker
Users can record their body fat percentage. This tracker allows decimals.
Min/Max Range: 0 - 50
Calorie Tracker
Users can record calories in the manner they choose: they can record an estimate per day or they can record each time they intake any calories.
Min/Max Range: 1 - 5000
Cholesterol Tracker
Users can record their cholesterol levels for any and/or all of four fields: Total Cholesterol (mmol/Ls) HDL, LDL, and Triglycerides.
This tracker keeps a history of the user’s cholesterol levels, reveals trends over time, and can establish mindfulness and awareness.
Min/Max Range:
- Hdl—10 - 500
- Ldl— 10 - 500
- Triglycerides— 10 - 500
- Total Cholesterol— 22-1300
Hydration Tracker
Users can record the individual glasses of water they drink per day. Typically, 8 ounces (240 ml) is considered a standard glass.
Min/Max Range: 0 - 20
Mood Tracker
The mood tracker lets the member choose one of five descriptors for their current mood:
- Happy/Positive
- Calm/Relaxed
- Neutral/Okay
- Anxious/Stressed
- Sad/Negative
Sleep Tracker
The sleep tracker can be linked to a member's wearable (or data can be entered manually) and collects a range of sleep-related data:
- Go-to-bed time
- Time in bed awake
- Number of times waking during the night
- Wake up time
The sleep tracker can be a useful tool for any user who wants to improve their sleep and keep a record of their sleep-related habits and sleep efficiency.
Step Tracker
Users can manually enter their daily steps if they do not have a synced device that does it automatically.
Min/Max Range: 1 - 60,000
Waist Circumference Tracker
The waist tracker measures the circumference of the waist, taken from the smallest part of the torso (just above the belly button). This is displayed in inches or centimeters, depending on the user's account settings (imperial or metric). This tracker allows decimals.
Min/Max Range: 50 - 150 (Centimeters)
Weight Tracker
Users can record their body weight, time of day, and mood with this tracker. This tracker raises mindfulness and, over time, can reveal trends in weight gain or loss related to time of year and/or personal circumstances. Users will enter weight in pounds or kilograms, depending on their account settings (imperial or metric). This tracker allows decimals.
