The Group Programs feature is a structured coaching tool that enables coaches and admins to deliver multi-week wellness programs to groups of members. Programs are organized into modules—manageable, time-based units that guide participants through a progressive coaching experience—and divided into cohorts, which are smaller groups of members who attend live sessions together on a shared schedule.
Group Programs are designed around live group health coaching standards set forth by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), which recommends groups of 6–12 participants to enable rapport, collaboration, and commitment among members.
Note: If your program involves large groups (100–200 participants), recorded sessions rather than live coaching, or does not require attendance tracking, the Habit Builder feature may be a better fit. See this article for more information on Habit Builders.
What can Group Programs do?
- Programs can be divided into modules and cohorts, enabling detailed customization of activities and member organization without significant administrative burden.
- Admins can add activities and resources—like content, flows, and trackers—to create a progressive, cumulative coaching experience.
- Supplemental pages can be added to each module to provide participants with additional tools and content.
- Roster management and reporting features provide insight into participation, helping you refine programs for greater impact and engagement.
- Event-based automations can trigger emails, tasks, and other actions at key points in the program lifecycle.
Two Primary Use Cases
Live Group Coaching
Members join a weekly live session with a coach and other members. Cohorts are organized around specific meeting schedules, and video platform links (such as Zoom) can be included in the cohort description or live session summary for easy access.
Coach-Facilitated Group Programs
Members are guided through a predetermined coaching path at their own pace, with access to resources they can explore independently. Coaches remain available for motivation and questions, but members are not required to attend live sessions.
How do members participate?
Members must register for a Group Program and select a cohort before they can begin. Once registered, they can access the program’s modules, complete activities, and attend live sessions from their member portal.
