Initial Engagement Dashboard

The Initial Engagement Dashboard focuses on the first week of a user’s journey in Avidon. It highlights how quickly and how deeply new users begin engaging, helping admins and account managers evaluate activation patterns, early content use, and short-term retention signals.

This dashboard helps answer key onboarding questions such as:

  • How soon do new users complete their first meaningful action?

  • Which types of content (courses, challenges, media) spark the most early engagement?

  • What features are being adopted during the first week?

  • How many users return for multiple sessions in the first 7 days?

  • How do onboarding outcomes differ across signup cohorts?

By providing visibility into early engagement, this dashboard helps teams identify drivers of successful onboarding and take targeted action to reduce early drop-offs.

How to Run the User Lifecycle Dashboard

  1. Choose a Date Range

    • From the Interval dropdown, select the time period you want to review:

      • Last 7 days

      • Last 30 days

      • Last 90 days

      • Year

      • Lifetime (all data since portal/company creation)

  2. Set Chart Granularity

    • From the Time Interval dropdown, choose how data should be grouped:

      • Daily

      • Weekly

      • Monthly

  3. Select Scope (optional)

    • By default, the report runs at the company level, which includes all members across all portals and groups.

    • To narrow the focus, you can:

      • Select a specific portal.

      • Select a portal group.

  4. Apply Demographic Filters (optional)

    • Filter results by:

      • Gender

      • Age range

  5. Run the Report

    • Once parameters are set, the dashboard refreshes automatically to display the charts and KPIs.

Understanding the Reports: Key Performance Indicators and Charts

After running the report, you'll see tiles representing the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These tiles represent the data for various aspects of the userbase. Beneath the KPIs are the charts.

  1. Time to First Action – Histogram showing how long it takes new users to perform their first meaningful activity.

  2. Content Engagement – Stacked bar chart of content use (courses, challenges, media) during Days 1–7.

  3. Feature Adoption – Bar chart showing the percentage of registrants who used each feature at least once.
